Ayurveda is the oldest based medical system in the world. This ancient, healing system, helps you incorporate, the right herbs, foods, and lifestyle for your individual needs.
Moreover, Anju is 1st generation Canadian. Born and raised in Calgary, Anju fuses Indian (Ayurvedic) and Western medicine together. Anju’s goal is to demystify the ancient Ayurvedic healing system by fusing with Western alternative treatments. Moreover, Anju stresses that you need balance in all aspects of your life, to achieve optimal health. 6 years ago, Anju was diagnosed with Ankyolsing Spondylitis right after her Dad passed away from cancer. That downward spiral made her realise that balance must be achieved in all aspects such as: diet, lifestyle, and mental health, and the right herbs/supplements. Moreover, Anju offers consultations. The first appointment can typically be from 1 to 2 hours. Follow up appointments will be from 30 to 60 minutes in length depending on distinct health matters you are dealing with. Typically during your first appointment, we will review the intake form that you have filled out prior to the appointment, and review your detailed history of your current and past health issues.
With the patient’s opinion, a personalized treatment outline will be suggested to help facilitate accomplishing his or her health goals. Anju will examine your body, take a comprehensive personal/medical history, (review my client intake form) Link below. For example, daily diet, work/profession, medications, supplements, surgical procedures, exercise, mental health, and relationships. It is through this intake process that helps us work together to determine key issues, and find the possible root of imbalance, and identify appropriate treatments solutions for you. Secondly, a dosha assessment can be done, which is a short quiz. Doshas are the energy patterns that flow around our body, ruling our demeanour, and thinking. The 3 doshas are Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Vata, Pitta, and Kapha is based on the 5 elements of the world, which are ether, air, fire, water, and earth. We all are born with and have certain aspects of each dosha. But there is a dominance of one of these doshas that characterises who we are. Our unique dosha constitution must be in balance to be healthy, or we plunge into illness.
Dosha assessment – What is a dosha assessment? In Ayurveda it is a basic assessment that helps determine your constitution. (your primary dosha, and secondary dosha, to help see what herbs, food, and lifestyle adjustments would be best for you!) Determining the patient’s dosha, and then identifying the root cause of a disease.
Ayurvedic diet plan – Specific diet plan for your specific dosha, with six primary “tastes” that will form your diet recommendations. Dietary practices are key to treatment, recovery, and disease management.
Bio-Metric Tests – May be implemented to help determine illnesses, nutritional deficiencies. Urine, blood analysis, stool, and hair tests available.
Herbal Treatments – Small batch herbal tinctures and formulations that you are prescribed will be printed and given to you, so you can educate and implement them in your daily regiment. This empowers you on what herbs are working for you, and why you are using them. My goal is to offer each individual with utmost compassion, care, and transparency, by building a case by case treatment regiment for every person.
