Vata

January 24, 2022

💗 The last post we were discussing how the 5 elements combine in pairs to form 3 interactions called Doshas. Please read the last post for more info. Doshas are each of the 3 energies that are constantly moving and changing within the body, and regulate physiological activity.

💗 The 5 elements combine to create Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

🌌 Let’s look into Vata more in depth. Vata is made up of the Air and Ether elements.

🌌 Vata governs the body’s greater life force, it is the energy of movement.. “that which moves things.” Moreover, Vata is the force regulating all biological activity. Vata gives motion to Pitta and Kapha.

🌌 The main locations of Vata in the body are: bones, thighs, colon, ears, joints, brain, skin, and nerve tissues.

💗 Psychologically, Vata rules: creativity, communication, quick thinking, and flexibility. Also, Vata rules anything correlated to movement like: talking, breathing, movements in the tissues + muscles, assimilation of food, nerve impulses, circulation, urination, elimination, and menstruation.

💗 Furthermore, Vata qualities are: dry, rough, light, cold, subtle, and mobile. These traits characterize their effect on the body. Some common signs of Vata imbalance in the body are: anxiety, fear, panic, dry skin, constipation (dry/hard stool), restlessness, hypertension, low body weight, tremors, twitches, etc…

💗 Thank you!
