Tea Tree Essential Oil (15 ml) amber glass bottle – “Melaleuca Alternifolia”
This variety of Tea Tree essential oil packs more medicinal value, fresh, invigorating, slightly spicy. Contains more linalool, limonene, and eucalyptol chemical constituents than other varieties!
Ayurvedic Use:
- May stimulate the body’s immune function through its anti-fungal and antibacterial properties, which can combat the harmful effects of contaminants on the skin by inhibiting bacterial growth, and reproduction. May help with foot fungus, athlete’s foot, head lice, acne, and nail fungus.
- Antis-septic properties may eliminate bodily toxins, and disinfect pores to prevent clogging that can lead to acne-prone skin. Apply a small amount with a carrier oil for acne prone skin, only on targeted areas, to dry it out.
- May help with respiratory issues such as coughs, colds, and the flu. Can help loosens phlegm and mucus in the nose and throat to facilitate their elimination.
- Benefits all three doshas Vata, Pitta and Kapha, because it is cooling and moisturizing.
- Can improve bad breath. Use as a mouth wash. Tea tree is an antiseptic and may help with oral pathogens, including Candida albicans, Escherichia coli, and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
Tea Tree is a Middle Note:
- Middle notes do not evaporate as quickly as top notes and linger on the skin longer. Also, middle notes emerge from a blend right after the top notes have evaporated away + give perfumes their main body.
Combines well with:
- Lavender, Lemon, Grapefruit, Sweet Orange, and Eucalyptus.
How to Use:
- Diffuser, put 5 drops.
- Add drops to a spray bottle, for a counter top disinfectant.
- Use a few drops in a cup of water, as an oral hygiene mouth rinse.
- Add to hot foot bath that can help with fungus, anti-bacterial.
- Add a few drops to your shampoo, that may help clean scalp buildup.
