Grapefruit Essential Oil (15 ml) amber glass bottle – “Citrus Paradisi”

This variety of Grapefruit essential oil is especially bursting with fresh, aromatic strong smell of the essence of the fruit. Smells exactly like fresh grapefruit!

Ayurvedic Use:

• The scent used for 15 minutes, 3 times a day may reduce appetite, food intake, and body weight. May boost metabolism, and may curb appetite. Why? It may stimulate the sympathetic nerve activity, which can affect the white adipose tissue in the body, that is in charge of lipolysis. Inhaling the oil, may increase lipolysis, therefore inhibits weight gain.
• Pacifies Vata and Kapha dosha and aggravate Pitta dosha.
• Uplifts Kapha dosha and soothes Vata dosha. It is also useful for Pitta dosha as it can balance disturbed emotions and bring clarity of judgement.
• May help with brain fog. It may hinder acetylcholinesterase activity (AChE). AChE hydrolyzes the neurotransmitter acetylcholine in the brain, and is discovered mostly at
  brain synapses and neuromuscular junctions. It may impede AChE from breaking down, acetylcholine. Thus, time and level of action of the neurotransmitter rises = better mood.

Grapefruit is a Top Note:

• Top notes are uplifting and refreshing. Top notes evaporate the quickest, 30 minutes.

Combines well with:

• Sweet Orange, Lemon, Cedarwood, Lavender, Peppermint, Rosemary, and Ylang Ylang.

How to Use:

• Diffuser, put 5 drops
• Sprinkle a few drops of the oil onto a cloth for disinfecting counter tops, or surfaces. Add to spray bottle, anti-bacterial.
• Add 3-5 drops to 10 ml of carrier oil for local topical application.
