November 27, 2025

Please read Part 1. A basic idea of an Ayurvedic perspective, for renal detoxification, tissue repair, and systemic balance. Part 2/2.

5.) Cellular Detoxification

  • Proper sleep, and regulating your circadian rhythm, helps toxin clearance, + renal mitochondrial repair.
  • Support your detox pathways with fibre rich meals. * This reduces the burden of waste removal on kidneys through mechanisms like elimination/gut strength helps toxins from leaking into the bloodstream, + other organs like kidneys. Reduces uremic toxins.
  • Exercise, moderate sweating, + lymphatic activation, aids excretory synergy.

6.) Regenerative Activities

  • Gentle yoga asanas boosts lymphatic return by enhancing the drainage of toxins + reducing fluid retention.
  • Deep breathing (pranayama) enhances the drainage of toxins + reduces fluid retention.
  • Gentle yoga asanas boost renal perfusion. Helps blood flow to kidneys.

7.) Metabolic & Hormonal Balance

  • Regulate insulin sensitivity for kidney health, and to protect nephrons. Balance your blood sugar, + cholesterol levels.
  • Manage your blood pressure to protect nephrons.
  • Balance your hormones, as excess stress hormone, cortisol increases renal strain. High levels of cortisol can increase blood pressure + blood sugar.

8.) Herbal Support

  • There are many poly herbal formulas I use to help my clients, keeping your body type/imbalances in mind.
  • I look into the compatibility with existing medications as well.
  • I also look into how we can manage underlying conditions that affect your kidneys like high blood pressure, or diabetes.

9.) Clinical Standpoint

  • Test for – creatinine, eGFR, and electrolyte panels.
  • Vitiation of Vata and Kapha doshas obstruct the urinary channels (srotas). Identifying red flags: urination frequency/appearance (e.g., frothy or scanty urine, edema, fatigue, lower back pain, loss of appetite.
  • Kidney repair is the continuity of cellular nourishment, precise hydration, & metabolic harmony.
