Lifestyle Interventions To Support Uterine Health
Please read the other 2 posts, to look at treatment methods I use, and root causes.
In addition to holistic treatments, certain lifestyle changes can help support hormone + uterine health which helps manage fibroid symptoms.
1. Regular Physical Activity
Exercise improves circulation, reduces inflammation, and helps balance hormones. If you have pelvic pain, low-impact activities such as: swimming, walking, + cycling are best. Go for a walk directly after dinner. This will help manage blood sugar levels. Walk for 30 minutes.
2. Maintaining A Healthy Weight
Estrogen can increase if you are obese or overweight, in turn contributes to fibroid growth. Figure out what a healthy weight is for you, + get regular exercise, this helps a lot in managing uterine fibroids. This will also support overall hormone balance, + reduce inflammation.
Regular exercise reduces estrogen levels by reducing fat, and promotes weight loss, in turn lowers the production of estrogen by adipose tissue.
3. Reduce Stress
High cortisol, and fibroid growth are linked. Prioritize your peace!
Yoga asanas improve circulation, and reduce stress. Poses, like child’s pose, cat-cow, + bridge pose, help relieve pelvic tension.
I can help cater a daily dinacharya plan to help you manage stress, by marma, asanas, + meditation techniques. Breathing exercises: help reduce cortisol levels, which helps with hormone balance.
4. Estrogen Detox & Reduce Xenoestrogens
Estrogen’s role in the growth and spread of fibroids is well-established.
Remove or reduce sources of xenoestrogen exposure in your environment. Remove toxic cosmetics, plastic food containers, conventional dairy + meat products. Do your best to reduce exposure to herbicides + insecticides. Please educate yourself about endocrine-disrupting chemicals.
Support your body in removing the remaining toxins left in your system with targeted, phytotherapy to lower estrogen dominance. Please refer to my previous 2 posts, part 1 + 2 on uterine fibroids causes, treatments I use, etc… Thank you.
