Kapha

January 30, 2022

🌿 The last post we looked into Pitta energy. The 5 elements combine to create Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Now let’s look into Kapha.

💕 Kapha is made up of the Water & Earth elements: “that which sticks.” Kapha is the energy of building and lubrication that gives the body physical structure and form. Kapha is essentially the cement, glue, and, lubrication that keeps the body functioning smoothly.

💕 The main locations of Kapha in the body are: lungs, lymph, fatty tissue, head, throat, chest, tendons, ligaments, + connective tissue. Kapha gives bulk to our tissues, stores energy, lubricates joints, + correlates to cool bodily fluids like mucous, lymph, and water.

💗 Psychologically, Kapha rules: greed, attachment, mental inertia, patience, love, and forgiveness.

💗 Furthermore, Kapha qualities are: moist, cold, heavy, dull, soft, sticky, and static. These traits characterize their effect on the body. Some signs of Kapha imbalance are: mucous issues, sinus, congestion, obesity, asthma, low thyroid function, diabetes, lymphatic system disorders, and much more …

🌿 Thank you.
