When I started my business journey I was living on Galiano Island with my awesome husband and baby girl. My first business loan was from the Community Micro Lending Society in Victoria which helped me launch my business in 2013. In the beginning years my business evolved around selling nursery plants, tinctures, and potted arrangements, which I was retailing at Poppies Floral Art in Victoria. I really enjoyed the hands on aspect of growing medicinal plants like Skullcap, Ashwagandha, and Echinacea. I am so grateful for being able to live on Galiano Island to have that wonderful experience, thank you Bram. My Indian prince that I ended up meeting in Calgary of all places. Lol! I believe success comes first with love. Being in love has given me the strength to follow my dreams.
I feel very fortunate to be on the path that I am on. I do not think that I would have ended up doing what I am doing now, if I did not get ill with an auto-immune disorder (ankylosing spondylitis) when my Dad passed away 9 years ago of cancer. That period in my life was a big wake up call for me. It made me start taking care of myself, and giving myself the love that I needed. Self care is truly the path to seize your power back. Darkness always leads to light, you just have to believe in the process.
After a couple years of nursery plants, tinctures, + potted arrangements on Galiano Island we finally made the move to Victoria.
Finishing my certification as an Ayurvedic Practitioner took me to the next level with my business. I opened my own holistic clinic in Victoria, let go of the potted arrangements, and nursery plant side as customer demand shifted.
Follow your heart, let love guide you not fear. People may think you’re crazy for doing that, but the universe does not judge you, instead it is always conspiring with you to help you. Dream big, keep an open mind, and keep it real!
