🌿Anju’s Herbals Ayurvedic Peppermint Essential Oil – Mentha Arvensis🌿

🌿This peppermint essential oil has a stronger minty aroma. This warm, herbaceous, sweet, minty scent is due to its very high menthol content!

🌿General Benefits & Use:

  • Antiseptic, anti-bacterial and anti-microbial.
  • Immediately clears up the nasal passageway. It is refreshing to the nasal passages when used as an inhalant. Rub a couple of drops under your nose. Promotes healthy respiratory function, and clear breathing. 
  • Put a drop on your temples and the back of your neck if you get a headache.
  • Eases nausea, and can be helpful in cases of motion sickness. 
  • Helps with seasonal allergy relief, because it helps clear out pollen from your respiratory tract and relaxes your muscles in your nasal cavity.

  • Top notes are uplifting and refreshing. Top notes evaporate the quickest, 30 minutes.

🌿Ayurvedic Use:

  • Peppermint calms all 3 doshas. It has cooling and heating energy (virya), sweet and pungent taste (rasa), dry, penetrating and light quality (guna), benefits the nerve, blood and plasma tissues (dhatu), with a post-digestive effect (vipaka), Peppermint stimulates the circulatory, nervous, digestive and respiratory channels (srotas). 
  • The cooling effects can assist against hot flashes associated with menopause, the anti-spasmodic properties help with cramps and fatigue associated with PMS.

🌿Combines well with: Lavender, Lemon, Rosemary, Cedarwood, Eucalyptus, and Grapefruit. 

🌿How to Use:

  • Diffuser, put 5 drops, for cleaning the air, and helping with congestion.
  • Add a few drops to a carrier oil, and apply to scalp for stimulating hair growth.
  • Remember this is a stronger peppermint due to it’s high menthol content.
