Ayurvedic Ylang Ylang Essential Oil – Cananga Odorata
One of my favourite oils is Ylang Ylang! I love the fragrant flower, sweet, heavy, fruity, floral aroma!
🌿General Benefits & Use:
- Nervine property is known to enhance the health of the nervous system by strengthening it + repairing any damage it might have undergone. By reducing the stress exerted on the nerves, it helps reduce the chances of causing potential nervous disorders. Hypotensive quality is believed to balance blood pressure levels, enhance circulation, + normalize the heart rate.
- Linalool present in oil possesses anti-depressant properties that not only address negative feelings, including nervousness, shock, and fatigue, uplifts mood. Aphrodisiac qualities.
🌿Ylang Ylang is a Base Note:
- It’s grounding and leaves a lasting impression. That’s because the base note is the slowest to evaporate and sometimes isn’t even discernible for the first few hours.
🌿Ayurvedic Use:
- Reduces Vata & Kapha.
- Vata and Pitta benefit tremendously from this beautiful floral oil and its ability to increase relaxation, sensuality + self-confidence.
- Balances Pitta, because of its calming and cooling properties.
🌿Combines well with: Grapefruit, Lemon, Lavender, Bergamot.
🌿How to Use:
- Diffuser, put 5 drops.
- Add to carrier oil, sesame, or coconut oil and add Ylang oil, massage into scalp, Helps de-tangle hair, dandruff, + itchiness.
